The Youth Committee

The Muslim Council of Britain’s Youth Committee is composed of a dynamic, diverse and ever-growing group of energetic young Muslims from around the UK.

The committee was created to reflect the values of the MCB with a particular focus upon the needs of the youth. From promoting unity between communities and organisational affiliates, to encouraging and strengthening initiatives beneficial to the Muslim and wider community, we work to this end, channelling our work specifically for the benefit of the young Muslims across the UK.

We hope to achieve the above through the development of a committee that is regionally representative, delivering projects and initiatives tailored to realising these aims and through the empowerment of our affiliates and organisations – to build their capacity and means to facilitate for the youth – in this ever more challenging climate. Thereby we may enable the creation and expansion of initiatives that benefit young Muslims to be better citizens adhering to both the values of the UK as well as that of our faith.

Our aims are to:

1. Advocate (Muslim youth issues) and Represent (MCB youth affiliates)
2. Connect, Unite and Empower Muslim youth organisations
3. Showcase Muslim youth achievements

The Platform is one of our many initiatives to bring young people to the forefront of progress and positive change in Britain.
