I do suspect Kurds are diircsminated against in Turkey, and also that they are treated better than Palestinians by Israel. Don’t do this. I don’t know how you compare oppressions in accurate ways, but there was a civil war between Turkey and its Kurds in the 90 s and 30,000 people died, with hundreds of Kurdish villages demolished. The US sided with and armed Turkey. Chomsky in one of his books The New Military Humanism pointed out the contrast between how we treated the situation and Turkey and how we reacted in the Balkans at the same time, his point being that we pretended to care about Serbian atrocities while supporting similar atrocities by Turkey.Ocalan, on the other hand, is not a good guy. The Kurdish guerilla group (the PKK) has a bad human rights record too. The situation has improved since the 90 s, but it’s still not good.
