Our Mosques, Our Hope

Dr Muhammad Abdul Bari is an educationalist; community activist; author and parenting consultant. He has been involved with the East London Mosque, the Muslim Council of Britain and Muslim Aid. He is a board member of the LOCOG and an Honorary Fellow of Queen Mary, University of London.

Excellent article. It’s about time young people are able to properly take ownership of their religious institutions and make them the hub of the community for all, regardless of age. Mosques need to be open and perceptive to this and ensure there is young representation on their governing boards and committees.
