Needed to be said Zainab and you said it well.I couldn't believe the way that students were treated during the occupation by KCL security and the false accusations of anti-semitism being directed at any one who showed support for the cause of the many Palestinian victims of the siege.Well done for your active role in it all.xx

The stand for justice has always been an uphill struggle, you set an amazing milestone for this decade and a wonderful example for this generation of students to follow, you might feel that your effort has notbeen recognized, but work like this always has its deep influence in the society, add value to our livesand make us feel that we are human beings again!!!
a great article to highlight most important values of life that tend to forget and/or ignore!!

Very good article, KCL seems to have downplayed the whole thing. I don't remember it featuring as news at all. Not when the supplies got through or when IUG sent their reply of thanks. It's as if they were ashamed or wanted to hide the whole thing

A brilliant eye-opening article! It's disheartening to learn about the less-than-enthusiastic attitude that KCL authorities adopted in relation to the efforts made by the student activists. I applaud you in your efforts including publicizing these matters that in society today need addressing. Here's to hoping for more support and encouragement for worthy student activists in UK universities.

Wonderfully written. I love the new touches!

It was indeed an immense shame that student activists at King's this year were looked upon with nothing but suspicion. All students are supposed to do is rave, drink and rave some more.

What was more saddening was that several of those who were fully aware of the immense suffering of the Gazan's were so very scared of being seen to do anything outwardly political; certain Muslims would pick up a bucket to collect money, but would never properly voice their feelings or be seen with demonstrators. And all because of media scaremongering; nowadays political Muslims that don't follow the pro-war agenda are by definition nasty "Islamists".

Great article. And highly, highly accurate, especially in its description of the generally ignorant students who swarm like a plague over KCL. This was a monumental achievement, even in an international context, though you could have been forgiven for not knowing of this as a Kings students, probably because of the latest knock-down alcohol prices advertised by the SU. Well done to all who contributed to the aid effort; a core group of dedicated students will always achieve more than the common mass utterly clueless about the role of this country in many of the world's conflicts.
